A Blog about Retail Supplies and more!
I’ve recently been looking for a new apartment, and let me tell you what a pain that is. I find the worst part isn’t the search itself, or even the stress of knowing I’ll soon have to back up every one of my possessions. The truth burden is negotiating a price. I’m constantly seeing one price on an apartment, going to see it, and then after I already decide the place isn’t for me, the realtor conveniently mentions the price could go down a few hundred bucks.
Excuse me? This isn’t the Italian Market. We’re not haggling over an old piece of furniture or some collectable comic books. This is a HOME! And these aren’t nickel-and-dime changes we’re talking about either. Reductions often over hundreds of dollars PER MONTH are being offered… financial differences that are nothing to sneeze at.
Personally, I think every home, apartment, or cardboard box in an alley… ANYTHING that acts as living quarters for a human being should have clear and easy-to-see pricing labels on it. Have all the realtors just go around with a big price tagging gun and mark every house or apartment currently up for rent.
The world of realty is a twisted place, and personally we’d be much happier if everyone in it had tagging guns.
