…People had to write out the prices for everything. It might not have been so bad for people with small shops who had what, 10 things to sell? But people with dozens upon dozens of items had to not only write everything out but attach everything one at a time — possibly with string.
Now, though, people having price tagging guns. They can just 1,2,3 pull the trigger and they’re done. However, all that repetitive motion could cause problems later on. Any kind of repetitive motion, when done for long and many periods of time, can contribute to the development of carpal tunnel syndrome. It might seem silly that something as small as moving your finger a quarter of an inch over and over can cause any nerve damage, but depending on how your wrist and the rest of your fingers are positioned, you could be in for a big surprise.
If you work with price tagging guns, or in any sort of environment that requires you to maintain a repetitive motion for a prolonged period of time, keep in mind that the easiest way to prevent any future problems is by taking a short break every hour or so, just to stretch out your ligaments and tendons.
