DIY Price Tags
There are a lot of ways to price things. You can use price guns, or tie or staple tags — depending on what the item is you could even just write it directly on. (Many secondhand booksellers pencil in the prices on the inside cover.)
If you want to shake things up a bit and make unique pricing labels, try a few of the following ideas:
For clothing:
- Take scraps of fabric and write the price on with fabric markers, then attach the fabric to the garment with a string or safety pin. If you’re feel especially crafty, cut the fabric scraps into clothing shapes, like shirts or jackets.
- Similarly, if you’re selling shoes, you can use old shoelaces to tie the tags on.
For music:
- Get some black circular stickers, between 1″ and 2″ in diameter, and smaller white circular black stickers. Combine them to make one sticker and voilà! You’ve got a record. Write in the price on the white part, or get a metallic gold or silver marker and write it on the black part.
For food:
- There are a lot of ways to go with this one, though this one is my personal favorite: Get some sticker paper and stamps of food shapes. Stamp the sticker paper and cut out the shape, then write the price in the middle.
