Stock Up on Cash Register Paper
Every retail store needs a list of supplies, such as price tagging guns, pens, pricing labels, and cash register paper. You never want to overbuy on certain items because then you’re stuck storing them. However, cash register paper is one item you really need to buy in bulk –especially if you’re a large store. Can you imagine ringing up a customer and then running out of paper? You’ll feel completely embarrassed for not ordering enough and you can lose potential sales and customers.
Back in my retail store days, we always made sure we had a case of 100 rolls and when the case was about half empty, we would quickly order another box. Of course, there were the occasional times when someone would forget to place an order and then we would have to make a trip to the nearest store to steal some. During the holiday season, we always had two cases. I couldn’t believe how quickly we went through that register paper! Rolls were being changed practically every other day.
