A Blog about Retail Supplies and more!
Every time you go shopping, how convenient is it when you can check the price on an item? Sometimes pricing labels on shelves just isn’t enough, especially if the item was moved to a different location. What most people don’t know is Michigan is one of two states that actually has an Item Pricing Act, and it may be repealed soon.
The Item Pricing Act basically means by law every item needs to have it’s own pricing label. This is to keep things convenient and straight forward for the shopper. But some are fighting for a repeal, which consumers aren’t happy with. When customers flip over an item and don’t see a price, they often don’t want to bother checking. Many people, especially with the financial condition of the country, are looking for prices more than ever when they shop.
If you don’t live in Michigan, you already have the freedom of choice to price every item or not. But you want to be the store that your customers can rely on to have accurate and easy to find pricing. So why not just take the extra time so you can make their shopping experience smooth?
