The Old Pricing Label Switcheroo
Pricing Labels are a great asset to your business, really any business. I mean who but the greatest savants among us can retain pricing information for the veritable menagerie of items in our stores? Don’t ask me to. There is simply not enough hours in the day or room in my head for a whole store’s worth of pricing information.
Thieves are aware of the difficulties of stores and their staffs keeping up on their line of products and everything’s prices. They often will take advantage of this weakness by swapping price labels on different items. Don’t let this happen to you.
There are two real defenses between you and these crafty heals. First and foremost would be an awareness of pricing in a general sense. You know for a fact those slippers are more than a dollar so don’t let them dupe you there.
Next is making sure your tagging guns are full adhering labels to items. This makes it easy to see when labels have been tampered with. If one of these cretins tries to take off a well sealed label you’ll see it, then you have the wonderfully satisfying task of issuing a lifetime ban from your store.
